Why are these excerises always in the floor... Do you know how hard it is for someone with a torn miniscus to get down and up from the floor! Ooofff, very frustrated here. I've been through a lot of these videos and they all say start on the floor. 😢

You can do them in your bed if that's easier. I had to do them on the floor as that was the only space I had to film the exercises so that I could demonstrate them and people could see and understand what the exercises are. Hope that makes sense.

Are you psychic? Your lists at the beginning of the video are sooooo accurate, sooooo descriptive.... and sooooo difficult to overcome. As an 80 year old lady I could say some pretty negative things about life at the cognitive-decline stage of life. If a person lives through a heart attack I expect they will learn that heart attacks are far worse than anyone will have imagined. I'm wondering if it is possible to "recover" from a heart attack. The shock to the body is beyond description. It's like every cell in the body knows about the trouble the body had. And this comes from someone who is doing everything to recover including intermittent fasting, low-carb, heart-healthy supplements of the best quality, chicken hearts (animal hearts are good for the heart), fresh air, no toxins, rebounding on my Cellerciser (a world class rebounder). If you read this far you may want to do a Google search for the following three words: rebounding and astronauts. Anyway I know this video is about cognitive decline but so are heart attacks. The thing is I don't think and act like I did before. I'm not worried about the fact I don't have a lot of physical energy.... it is the cognitive decline since the heart attack, three months ago, that has me writing this entry. A bit of research asking Google about “cognitive decline after a heart attack” and this comes up: A 2023 study published in JAMA Neurology suggests that people who have one or more heart attacks may experience faster cognitive decline in the long term. The study found that survivors of a heart attack didn't show any apparent cognitive changes immediately after the event, but they did experience a faster decline in global cognition over the following years compared to people who didn't have heart attacks. This decline was equivalent to about six to 13 years of normal cognitive aging.

I have had a mild electrical issue (left anterior fascicular block) for decades that caused no very big issues until a few years ago. I use to ride my bike in the park for cardio, but it was slow and on level ground. Nothing to hard. I started having strange feelings and hard to ride feeling my muscles had reached failure withing a short period of exercise but under no real stress from the ride. It made me have to stop often trying to get home. I did the 24 hour monitor and was diagnoses with a double arrhythmia. The doctor told me I would feel strange but not to worry that I could still exercise. I will see another doctor and repeat the monitor and talk because I did not feel it was ok when I tried to go back to riding. Not sure I trust the first doctor, as the ones here in China tend to focus on profit not health. I want to return to my riding, but only if its safe. Even if uncomfortable.

Couch potato with lots of issues tachycardia, hiatal hernia, scoliosis. Shortness of breath is frequent especially with activities that bend over. I think the large hiatal hernia is a factor for my cardiopulmonary issues. Couldn't get my pulse under 120 and had right side pain. ER said my heart was healthy enough but i had large clot in right lung, 2 small in left and one in leg. I'm on blood thinners and beta blockers now. At the ER, i could get the spirometer just over 1000, now i get to 2500 multiple times in a row. Starting to wonder if i had undiagnosed COPD or previous clots laying to a videos cycle of less activity and poor health.

Bronchiectasis is often misunderstood and thought of as bronchitis, it can be far more serious, I was born with it, never smoked, had half a lung removed as a teenager, a bus or waiting room can leave me very unwell for months.

You can adjust the intensity yourself though by means of tempo and movement. Everyone will be different, so as I say in all my workout videos you take it at a pace that feels right for you. This has followed the BACPR guidelines, but depending on your health conditions, you may need a programme of an even lower intensity to start out with.

I had my Aortic valve replaced (bicuspid valve) and a triple bypass in July last year 2023. In September I started training again and in January 24 I joined a gym for cardio rehab, I was a big bodybuilder in my 20's and 30's, 54 now. I'm squatting 100+ kg again and HIT training. I had a couple of wobbly moments but all is good now. BP and BPM are all good. Just got to pace yourself and try to curb the eagerness to go heavy straight away.

@@pleasethankyou3869 I now have the St Judes Mechanical valve made of Pyrolytic Carbon the ONX version. I was physically fit before the operation as I was doing a lot of hill walking but I wasn't in the gym. I stopped weight training in 97 after 10 years in the gym. I only went back in because of cardio rehab and now I've been going for the last 7 months 4 days a week and haven't missed a session yet. I chose the mechanical valve because with care and proper medication (Warfarin) I shouldn't need to have it replaced unlike the bio valve which may deteriorate over time and need replacing. The first op was scary enough.
